Neither my MS Edge nor my Google Chrome will start up in my W10 this
AM. Were okay yesterday. They both hang when I open either, and
eventually time out. OTOH my other internet operations seem ok - my
Eudora email, my OEClassic email, this newsgroup app, etc. Task
manager shows nothing that I see.

I tried my other W10 PC on same router connection and all is fine.

I wish it's not a virus nor malware. DO you have other devices that
could access internet with a browser? First, check out "edge browser reset".

So do I.

This AM I tried my HP W19 PC again. I find:

My Eudora Gmail program runs fine - which means it will connect with
Gmail.com on the web.

My OeClassic program runs fine too - which means it will connect with
Gmail.com on the web.

My Google Chrome program hangs with no web access to
https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/
- which means Google Chrome has a problem.

My Windows Explorer so-called Edge hangs with no web acces to
https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-us/suite
- which means Edge has a problem.

I am between a rock and a hard place- I can't access the web with any
browser to download a new copy of either problematic browser or
anything else.

Notice my Forte Agent Web access to easynews.com works fine too -
witness this reply.

So what to do?
Thanks
Sam
