Default Pricing Question

On Mon, 29 Oct 2012 05:53:17 -0400, ...winston wrote:

Pricing during the promotion period has some uniqueness with MSFT
currently selling upgrades at a price and retailers selling the same
upgrades and OEM System Builders versions at another. Microsoft
offerings are downloads with an extra cost for a DVD but not a boxed
version. Boxed versions by retailers with a DVD are priced differently
(though during the promotion period are being discounted)

Of note:
Retail versions are no longer available for Win8. Upgrades and OEM
System Builder versions are only available System Builder OEM versions
replace the retail versions. Upgrade boxed versions contain 32 and 64bit
but only one license. System Builder versions are sold as 32 bit **or**
64 bit (i.e. not both) - consistent with OEM versions marketed for
Windows 7. Prices will increase once the promotion period ends on Jan
31, 2013.

Looks like now may be the time to buy. If I'm disappointed I'm not out
as much money. If I like it it's a bargain. Thanks.
