There's no such thing vulgar language. They're just words.

IIRC, The original meaning of "Vulgar" was just that it was a word than
many people used. Nothing about it being bad.

Anyway, I never really understood the idea of "bad words" (whether
called vulgar or something else).

Consider a certain product most people call "toilet paper". Businesses
call it "bathroom tissue" (as if that would make it any better). If you
want to, you could call it "asshole wipes", it's still the SAME product.

Yes, I will avoid some words, if the person I'm talking too objects.
That is RESPECT which is something very different from an inappropriate
feeling of guilt.

One misplaced adjective is "offensive" (when referring to a certain
word). There's nothing offensive about saying that word. If there's any
thing offensive, it's only within the listener's mind.

Indeed.

I was once told off by a neighbour for using the word "crap" to refer to
what came from the back end of a cat, because I had said it in front of my
other (religious nut) neighbour. Funnily enough, the religious nut wasn't
actually offended. When I pointed out that crap was the politest word I
knew and "****" was the naughty one, the first neighbour was horrified.
