Mint 19 is good, and test the problem on that system.
If all is ok, just install it and live happily ever after.

I was wondering why nobody mentioned to use Linux-Junk. How wrong I
was to forget a nutter like you!!!!!!.

Linux Junkies seem to to like Windows 10 newsgroup; I seem to see more
about Linux junk (and Apple Bananas Mac) on this newsgroup than
anything about Windows 10. Could it be because Windows 10 hasn't got
any problems and Linux-Junk has so many problems that only Windows 10
users can resolve them.

And why does he think I'd install an entire operating system to solve a
problem? I already know the problem is software. I can repeat the
problem with another keyboard.

For both of you folks:
1). I didn't say install Linux, just use a live cd or usb stick.
2). Good Guy is a useless troll whose sole purpose is to hurl insults and
doesn't know how to post without including a bunch of HTML stuff just to
annoy people.
3). Most people go to Linux from windows, often using a dual boot setup.
I see very few posts where people switch from Linux back to windows, but
plenty of cases where people dump windows from their dual boot setup.
Personally, unlike insecure people like Good Guy, I'm not much concerned
with others preferences. Some people are stuck with windows due to their
work constraints.
4). To suggest windows 10 doesn't have problems is just a joke. Try
reading the posts in this group then compare to the mint group.
5). Although it's none of your business, I now use Linux Mint as sole
boot with windows 7 available in a virtual box for the only software for
which I need windows (Quicken WillMaker). Unlike idiot Good Guy, I am
aware different people have different needs and situations and what they
use is up to them.
