Default Xfer a program

In article ,
says...

I bought a new Win 10 PC. Is there any way I can transfer a program
(Microsoft Streets) that I currently run on my old Win 10 PC? I
cannot locate the original install disc, nor registration SN.

You can try and copy the folder it's installed into. If lucky when you
double click the "exe" program file it'll run. Usually you'll get errors
about a missing "dll" file. Locate that in the old installation and copy
that file over the the new installation to same folder. There may be
several of those required. If then lucky program will now run and
recreate the neccessary registry entries it uses. Often it won't in
which case problem becomes harder because although it's usually easy to
find and then export/import the program's registry entries, what they
reference may not be so easy a task. Usually I give up when just copying
the program's main registry entry doesn't work as to much risk of
mucking other things up tracking various references.
