If you're pretty convinced it _is_ the update (I see three - a .net one,
a system one, and the usual MSRT), have you tried a System Restore?
No I haven't ... will do that next. Also, I can't even change the name
of any file on my data drive, d:, as it complains, "Unknown User"!
What's that all about?
