Default Can't rid system of bad password for log on ??

OK EJ, instead of shouting at Steve, how about a little more explanation.
From what you have said I presume you are using a Dial Up Connection?
I also presume that when you fire up IE you get your default connection
Connect window with a User Name?
Is the user name correct?
If yes then you should have your password below, normally indicated by a row
of ********* which bear no relation to the length of the password and also a
tick in the Save Password Box?
Type in correct password and connect. Does this work OK?
If YES then disconnect and try again.
If it does not work the 2nd Time without retyping the Password then you have
a problem with saving Passwords.
Try setting up a 2nd connection to your ISP and if that works OK repeatedly
then make that Connection your default and either leave or delete the
original connection.
If none of this works I suggest running Spybot Search & Destroy for Malaware
software and possibly sfc /scannow to check your system file integrity.

: When I click on my INternet explorer to connect to web through the default
connnection, there is a bad password saved in that window. I can delete the
bad connection only to have it reappear on the next boot up. How can I rid
my system of that bad password/connection error?
