contents of directory Folder. Do you want to replace the
directory permissions with
permissions granting you Full Control? All permissions will
be replaced if you press Yes. 7. Click Yes.
. Click OK, and then reapply the permissions and
security settings that you want for the folder and the
folder contents.
When I go to my computer under advanced settings I do
not have a "Use simple file sharing option check box" as an
option.
This is a home computer that is not shared. Does anyone
have any ideas of what my problem is in getting access to
this folder?

Since you're running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you
must start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an
account that has Administrative rights to have access to the
Security tab. To start in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and
start tapping the F8 key as soon as you see anything displayed
on the screen. Keep hitting F8 until the Advanced Startup
Options menu appears. Use the up and down arrow keys on your
keyboard to select Safe Mode. Hit Enter.

Once you've booted into Safe Mode, you can pick up those
instructions at step 2.
