Default Quick question how additional FONTS work in Windows

If by "substitute" you mean "direct Illustrator to use another font",
sure, that's possible. But Illustrator translates it into shapes. See
the post that explains why Illustrator may not like badly formatted
TrueType fonts.

Wolf,
I don't mind that you're a moron, because I never said I was an expert at
these tools, but you're trying to intimate what just is ridiculous, which
is that AI doesn't use the fonts that it clearly uses.

To whom does it "look like" X?

Wolf,
You provide zero technical value.

An AI file defines shapes. For you, the human viewer, some of those
shapes are letters. NB that an "O" could just as well be a wheel, or a
tire, or the coloured band around a lid, or whatever. An "I" could be a
post, a telephone pole, a stick, a bannister, or whatever. Etc.

Wolf,
All you can do is play your silly games.

BTW, do you know why Adobe Illustrator uses vector graphics?

BTW, Wolf, do you know why it doesn't make a bit of difference on a 12x24
inch vinyl cut sign?

Answer my question, and I'll answer yours.

Wolf,
Have you ever added a single iota of technical value to any thread, Wolf?
