You don't seem to have provided enough detail here.
Latest Firefox ESR? Why not say the version. I'm using
the latest Firefox ESR.... for v. 52.
And what's the last download folder? If you go into
Options you can choose to have FF ask where to put
downloads. There's no reason to let FF decide to put
them somewhere down in the depths of the user folder
catacombs.

As David said, you can also ask in the Mozilla newsgroup.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend that. I was there for
awhile but it's run by zealots who don't like anyone
using a critical tone in reference to Mozilla products.
If they don't like your question it just won't show up.
