Default USB 2.0 port charges mp3 player/recorder internal battery

Rechargeable batteries need to be cycled several full
charges and full discharges before they reach full capacity.
Also, a powered hub should work just fine, but a non-powered
hub won't supply enough power to charge the batteries
Laptop computer may or may not supply adequate power.

Check the site www.cyberguys.com , they carry a lot of USB
cables and other devices at very reasonable prices.

| I'm supposed to get 10 hours of mp3 playback on one
charge, yet when I record
| using the line-in function, I get only about 2.5 hours of
recording time before
| the battery is wound down. Is there any wall outlet
charger that supplies the
| power of USB 2.0 ports for these portable devices?

| The mp3 unit instructions says not to plug it into a hub,
but plug it directly
| into the computer USB 2.0 ports.

| Right now, the player is charging on my 98SE machine yet
it isn't recognized as
| a device in Device Manager or My Computer. Maybe after it
finishes charging, it
| will let me install the device drivers for 98SE from a
floppy.
