Default Fax Console

You seem to have identified your problem. Was there another question? AIO
devices are not supported by Windows XP Fax. Yours most certainly should not
have disabled your fax modem, but it did. Your recourse is with Lexmark.

I can't remember how it was installed, as it has been installed for over 3
years. It has always worked fine, until I installed the Lexmark printer.
If I try to go through the lexmark productivity console to set up the fax
through there, it says i am missing the LXDFFAS.EXE. my modem is a BCM
V.92
56k modem and appears to be fine in the device manner.

State how you installed Windows XP Fax. State which analog fax modem from
the WHCL you configured it to use and how. You failed along the way
somewhere.

Forgot to include I have a Lexmark x6570 wireless printer/scanner/fax.
But
I'm trying to use the fax console with my desktop which has an analog
line
directly connected to the box.

I have windws xp and my fax console is not responding for about the
last
two
months. It shows in the printer/faxes as ready, but when I try to fax
from a
word document or check the properties of the fax it shows "An attempt
to
connect to the fax printer failed. Check the fax printer connection
and
try
again." hen the properties comeup with "The Microsoft shared fax
driver
printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer
properties
will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver." What
drivers
do I need, I thought I had them all installed. When I open the
console
it
just shows refreshing in the status bar at the bottom.

Any help is appreciated!
