Default Messenger unstable for past two weeks

Foor the past two week Microsoft "Live" has not been. It asks for my password
about every 30 mins, drops me off line mid message, and generally makes
itself as annoying as possible.

This AM I was reading my email when Messenger decided I had not "been active
for 24 hours" and dropped me off the ENTIRE IE system. I had two other
windows open in the 'hot, hew, cool' tabbed browse. Messenger closed them
ALL. THEN I could not get back on - excuse? Messenger "not available." It has
been down more than it has been up and I'm tired of it.

I have had very negative experiences with MS "Live" overall. It is a service
whose time has come, but MS did not think this thing through. I have had
Hotmail since 1995 and NEVER had this amount of trouble. To paraphrase: "the
hurrier they go, the behinder they get."

Why upgrade to Vista when I already havae lousy service with XP? - and it's
paid for!
