I have a customer that went to the used computer store
and got an XP machine just to run 16 bit apps he can't
find anywhere else to run in his lab -- no Internet
connection. Problem solved.

There is a DOSBOX and 16 bit apps utility that I have
forgotten its name that runs on Linux, but XP is just
a lot easier to use for this type of thing.

Love virtual machines. And you can use the clipboard
between them too. (This customer is not capable of
running VM's. Too complicated for him.)
