Default Battery draining power in few seconds

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Hi, Gary.

As the others said, you probably need a new battery.

But...I've had this problem with both my Netbook and my cellphone and they
both recovered, at least for now. For both, the process was the same.

Run the battery COMPLETELY dead. No lights for "Power On" or anything else.
With the battery installed, run it down as far as possible. If the device
automatically shuts down after a while, turn it on again. For my cellphone,
I pushed and held the button to turn it completely off, then I physically
removed the battery for several minutes to be sure. When you are sure it is
DEAD dead...

Insert the battery and turn it on again. It has worked more than once for
me. ;) Good luck!

Hello crowd, I've this recent problem with my laptop's battery which is if I
turn on the power in battery mode, the system boots up and immediately
hibernates because battery only holds power for a few seconds. I think this
system update issue because battery is old but it used to last about half
hour. The icon on tray is looking different too (That's why I suspect this
is an updating issue). Do you know a way to solve this besides buying a new
laptop or doing a fresh installation of system?

Thanks.
