Disabling IE 11 in 8.1 only gets rid of or hides, depends on where you
go which terminology is used, the files that IE needs to startup/run. The
files that other application software needs. ie. Windows Update, is
still there. Go to Microsoft.com and search for disabling/uninstalling,
you can search for either, IE 11 if you don't believe me.

Nah, I think I let you provide an official MSFT link (not third party)
that actually states how to disable IE.

I already did. In fact I gave two of them. Here; vutum9hinging

Then go there and find out for yourself. Yes I did look at several third
party sites but I did nothing until I confirmed it at Microsoft.com. And
from what the first link stated the disabling of IE has been an option
since XP. So the rumor that you couldn't do it all these past years was
just rumors and lies to keep people using IE.
But you can't uninstall IE. Windows wont let you easily. You would have
to do it manually and then you would break Windows.
