I even have it as a message rule. Any post that comes in Post Dated that
user is ignored until they fix it, so I run it when I have about 5 or 10
post dated posts.

I'm not going to be dictated to by someone who is (almost) young enough to
be my son.

1) It's not 1990 anymore. There are no *rules* against posting in
HTML, if you want your plain text, then that's *your* problem. If
you don't like it, *ask* him not to post in HTML.

What would you know about 1990? You weren't even BORN!

HTML is considered bad form for several reasons

1) Waste of bandwidth (a 5-line message written in HTML can take up to
TWENTY times the amount of bandwidth than if it was written in plain text.
IOW, a message that would be 2K if written in plain text could take up as
much as 40K if written in HTML. That means he's hogged the bandwidth that
could have been used for TWENTY other messages.

2) It can harbour script viruses (OK, they're not so common these days,
but they're still around).

3) Some servers delete HTML from where it doesn't belong (if he had
wanted help, he'd have seriously curtailed his chances of receiving any).

2) How many Hades times has he post dated? Twice. Annoying yes, but
maybe if your posts didn't start by calling him an FW, he might
actually continue reading your post and change his clock.

May I suggest you sign up for Remedial Maths 101? He has posted FOUR times
and his clock has been off by a month each time. I wasn't the only one to
tell him.

Why post-dating is a bad idea: -

1) It's incredibly rude - it's the Usenet equivalent of queue jumping.

2) It's a tactic used by spammers (like our friend here) and many

servers
will delete the posts.

3) MS isn't averse to removing post-dated messages if they are
signifcantly off.

4) Many won't respond to post-dated posts (other than to tell the

poster
their settings are wrong).

5) Because of all of the above, he most likely won't be assisted and

some
will even kill-flike (which is just what I'm going to do to you).
