having the same problem in xp but before i installed sp1
it worked fine now NONE of my editing programs see my sony
dcr trv 820 i even bought a devoted firewire card with a
via chip but i get the same error message, it sees it as
a "av/c Subunit", and by the way do not look for any help
from Sony, I got back two form letters that said, a whole
bunch of nothing, there has to be a driver that can be
extracted from one of the cab files,on the windows disk,
if anyone knows where to look or the name of the sony
driver I will add it to the system
