Thanks Joel...I have also tried my ak5370 usb headset mic
and it also does nothing

If you are trying to use the mic in the camera, then
that is the problem.
Get a normal mic and plug it into the Sound Card in
the back of the
computer. Then it will work. Logitech is very good on
video, but do not
understand how sound in the applications in Windows work.

Check you sound system setup, click the volume icon

your system tray and
then select Options/Properties, make sure the Mic is

Playback mode, but is checked in the record mode.
