Default Help please CRT monitor on XP

On no signal the monitor will put itself into standby.

P.S. A monitor is an output device that displays what it is given. Windows
doesn't care less what monitor if any is connected and does not communicate
directly with it.

The monitor makers website does not offer XP drivers for the unit? If
not,
you are likely stuck using the generic Windows drivers. The freezing

be a different issue. The monitor does not actually talk to Windows so
it
is unlikely to be the source of the freezing problem.

Hi,
I just brought a 19in CRT monitor, GNR Haier HV900CS 19ins CRT 0.25mm
1600x1200@75hz Monitor. However windows XP won't recognise the drivers,
and I am unable to find an XP driver on the net. Since using the monitor
I have had the computer freeze on me. Could this be the monitor, or do I
have another problem? XP is running the monitor as a plug in and play
monitor. Thanks for reading this. Paul

Kevin, Thanks for the reply. I thought it could be a coincidence, but
would windows try and put the monitor into standby mode on shut down?
