Default Can a Macintosh person tell us how to change the name of a file?

I'll give your the benefit of the doubt and assume that by "all the
Macintosh users" you actually mean "one or two Macintosh users".

Tell them to go to Finder-Preferences-Advanced and make sure 'show all
filename extensions' is checked. If they can't figure it out from there,
they're on their own.

You can look at the web forum thread for yourself to see that the Macintosh
users are telling me in the PM that the file shows up as "file.PDF." so I
can only tell you what they told me. Same with the Usenet group Macintosh
users.

Web forum: Have you ever heard THIS SOUND inside your engine?

Usenet group:

I will put the help above into the web forum and the Usenet group, where in
both cases, the Macintosh users couldn't read the files and they are very
different users overall. They're engine experts. Not Macintosh experts.

Thanks for the help. If it works, the web forum and Usenet newsgroup should
soon show that the Macintosh users can read the file.
