Oh yeah, I already saw that link posted in this group. I could see that was
a key issue so I printed it out. Now I have to get to my office to try some
of this stuff out! :-)

It is very frustrating. I found Win 98 networked easily, and everytime.
I have so much trouble understanding what's so hard for Microsoft to get
this right!
My home XP network is working just fine, but I'm trying to change over 5
old '98 computers in my office, which were working fine, to 5 new xp
computers for which, to this point, very little has gone well.
I'm going to check your latest link. Some of your other stuff has been
helpful- thanks.

Thanks Jack - I found the cure at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp
Computer Browser service was set to manual on both systems but was not
starting/ed. I set them to Automatic and started them.
Instant results!

Thanks for the suggestion.
However - The wizard has been run MANY times.
That might be part of the trouble.
