Unfortunately the http://www.mvps.org/links.html lists present AND
*past* awardees of the MVP title. So someone using an e-mail address at
mvps.org does NOT equate to being a *current* MVP awardee. The award
lasts only a year. I'm sure all alumni groups have their embarrasments.
In a Google Groups search, I haven't found a message from him that
included "MVP" in a signature, so he probably hasn't had that award for
awhile. Looks like he got the mvps.org e-mail address around 25-12-02.
A Google search on David's posts seems to indicate that he generally
provides help but I have noticed some of his overly corrosive ones, too.
Just chalk it up to him having a bad day.

It is unfortunate that users have to go hunting around at
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/MVP/MVP.mspx to see who are the
*current* awardee(s) in each category rather than Microsoft providing a
sorted list of awardee names. If the current awardee lists their
category then it is easy to look up; otherwise, trying to qualify the
status of a poster as a *current* MVP is a PITA.
