It's called Year 2038 problem, when you need a 64-bit integer to store
date and time. Don't worry too much about it!

BTW, Y2K problem back then didn't create any major chaos as.


Didn't cause major chaos because companies spent millions of dollars
preparing for it. Those that didn't were not about to advertise their
stupidity to the world.
Having said that, there was some nonsense scare talk like toasters and
ovens not working.
My vcr and digital watch were sensibly programmed when they were
manufactured, so no problem.
In 1987 I wrote software that was y2k compliant (I hope, left the company
prior to 2000).
Ads
