Actually, even Windows 8.x was superior to Windows 7; notice that the
hardware requirements for 8/10 are *almost* the same as for 7, but
there is an additional processor-type requirement. The reality is,
Windows 8 and 10 take advantage of capable CPUs better than 7, and
third-party software can replicate user-interface features that one
may miss from traditional Windows.
