Because he was a good friend, I took his old XP machine AMD-2800

I decided to format the drive , put in 2 gigs of ram and install Win7
All went well except (as I already knew) it will not update until I
install a newer browser. The funny thing is I could not go to the
Microsoft site to download it with IE8.
I had IE11 on a USB stick but I just thought this funny.
Because the CPU does not have SSE2 I could neither install Firefox or
Chrome.
I've been playing with this, Philo

Windows
An Intel Pentium 4 processor or later that's SSE2 capable//
You didn't even bother to read the specs, did you ?
No. Philo is a big boy now; maybe he'll use it on another computer.
So you didn't even bother to read his post ? He's not
interested in installing it on "another computer".
You have no idea at all of what Philo may or may not like.
I very much doubt that you are even aware that he's just repaired a
1930s radio for a friend. He's a great practical man, good with
computers and photography, and I think of him as a friend. He's
certainly not afraid of HIS shadow, Shadow!
