The only abuse I see here is done by you.
You sound like a sad, pathetic, bitter, individual.

You really should get a sense of proportion between working with a
computer (debugging) and being a complete flip (two letters on a
welcome screen). This isn't microsoft technical support.

It is totally inappropriate. Where is the problem? There is no

Plus you have to do a bit more than turn off the language bar, it is
Advanced Text Services (of which the language bar is the UI for).

But I suppose if an idiot wants to give misleading advice to another
idiot. Least I gave accurate if useless advice.

It's related to the language toolbar.

People with obsessive compulsive disorder shouldn't post here with
drivel. He needs to speak to his doctor about his EN not here.

This is hardly a stupid question, the guy is unsure on how to do
something and has posted a question in a support forum. If you are
not interested in answering the question the don't but in my
opinion you are wasting the bandwidth with your negative comments.

Andy to switch off the language bar to the following.

Start Control Panel Regional and Language Options Languages
Tab Details Button Settings Tab Language Bar Button Untick
"Show the Language Bar on the desktop". You should also make sure
that you remove any languages that you do not use as these use
valuble system resources.

After installing Visual Studio, how to you switch back to the Windows
default debugger (Dr. Watson) instead of using the Visual Studio
debugger? Well, this must be a stupid question, too, since nothing
is actually *broke* and, according to you, there wouldn't be a
problem since the question regards an annoyance or preference. But
how many would know to go edit the AeDebug registry key and to what
value to set it? Where is the problem? According to your analysis,
there would be no problem since the question has to do with a
*preference*. Being curt and telling the OP to use the included
Help and Support included with Windows wouldv'e been sufficient, but
calling the OP stupid for asking what is a newbie question doesn't
reflect negatively on the OP but instead on YOU!

As far as gpalmer giving incorrect advice, why was it incorrect? The
navigation is correct and it matches what "Help and Support" says and
which was what YOU recommended to the OP. Since YOU think this
information from the included help (and repeated by gpalmer) is
incorrect then your suggestion to use the included help is what was
misleading. Apparently you believe some other article within help is
more relevant but were unwilling to provide the search string to
focus in on whatever topic in the help you thought was correct or
more appropriate.

We'll just assume you are having a bad day, forgot to take your
mood-stabilizing medication, your blood sugar got too low, or were
going through nicotine withdrawl and really shouldn't have responded.
