If I can't get the ST2000DM001 you suggest
the ST2000DM006? I've never heard of SMR
before and had to look it up. Interesting.

However, given the ST2000DM006 isn't built for
extended use I wonder how long they would last?
Of course, there's not much alternative if there's
no ST2000DM001 around either and the WD aside from
noise likes 'to park', you said.

No one else besides Seagate and WD makes quality HD's?
