I'm new at video capture and want to know if there is a benefit or
downside of selecting the box that says, "Save video clips after
capture". Right now I am capturing numerous basketball game videos
that I will later consolidate to a recruiting video. I'm not sure if
the clips would get in the way of editing. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Best bet would be to experiment...each task requires
special attention. Personally I prefer the video to be
in a single file and make my own splits.
