Did it really not occur to you that the software and hardware available
for backing up...or burning DVDs or editing video or handling compressed
files or searching...might have advanced over the last 8 years?

Why are you using a backup program from 2002?
Has the nature of taking back-ups of files changed so substantially since
then? Why change a tool *just* because it's old? This newsgroup's all
about an operating system that's older than that.
