Yes, it should work. I have done that with some big downloads,
downloading them at work to a USB stick, which I then carried home.

Just be careful which version of everything you download. Some sites
sniff our your computer's configuration, so you want to be sure
you're not getting a 32-bit XP version of something instead of a 64-
bit Windows 7 version.
