Mike;
I tried a Clean copy of MS HE withSP2 right out of the box.
Loader never prompted for motherboard drivers. Loader asked for raid or SCSI
drivers!
Also asked for Floppy drive (A) with drivers on it.
Have a motherboard drivers on CD rom. This uses OS to load.

New computer with INTEL 915 chipset, Intel 775 P4, sata HDD (120GB),
1GB ddr2 ram, and IDE cd/dvd drive.
Trying to load XP (HE) with SP2. Get error msg "SXS.DLL syntax error
on manifest or policy file"
"Installation failed: D:\I386\asms, error message:"
Components file does not match the verification information present
in the component manifest.
"D:\I386\asms\10\MSFT\windows\GDIPLUS.man"

Loading aborts and if I try loading again get the same problem. Any
suggestions???

Assuming the CD is not a bad copy, did you press F6 when prompted to load
the motherboard drivers?
