Yes, free, and I certainly encourage you to correct it soon.

You may want to try AdAware SE and Spybot S&D (links below)

Thanks Bob,

Looks like I have Virus in my system. I am unable to open Device Manager in
Windows. I restarted my system in Safe mode, then I am able to select Device
Manager. I disabled Integrated card. Now I am able to use Radeon 9250 card
from scratch to end.

But I wonder, what virus I have, which disables Device Manager. It also
disable Task Manager option. I need to look into it.

Thanks Though.

Has rereading the manual for the card sorted the issue? It sounds to me
like XP is not using the new card as the old integrated one is also
working and that's what the drivers are installed. The bootup is seeing
and using the new one at least in VGA mode so the card is working.

I beleive it's after Installing card. But I am not sure. I didn't checked the
manual properly. Sorry my bad.

Thank you.

I have not a radeon card, is the driver supposed to be installed before
or after the card is inserted?

loading, I am getting error message.

Thank you,
Kode.

It sound like the XP is still set to the ON Board. Is the Card install
loaded for XP drivers?

Kode wrote:

No Bob,

It gave me 2 options only. 1) On-Board 2) Auto

Thanks

Doesn't your BIOS allow to select between PCI and AGP for initial video?

Hi There,

I have a 2 yr old Dell Dimension Desktop with Inter P4 (Not sure what is the
model of Mother Board). This mother board consists of on-board (Integrated)
Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller.

Yesterday, I purchased a Norwood Radeon 9250 PCI graphics card and I
installed it.

After installation of new card, the following has occurred:

ââà ¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬à ƒÆ’‚¢ When my monitor is connected to PCI Radeon card, I am able to see initial
boot up screens (till I select what OS to boot).

ââà ¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬à ƒÆ’‚¢ But I need to disconnect my monitor and connect it to Integrated Intel
card to view the rest of the screens.

I tried to disable my Intel card thru BIOS, but there is no such option. Did
anyone got the same problem?

Can anyone suggest me how to disable my On-Board Intel Graphics Card?

Thanks in Advance
Kode.
