I can see how it could be interpreted that way. Anyway, you have two
browsers that both don't do what you have come to expect regarding
blocking of content. I suppose it could be misleading you, bringing you
to the conclusion that *one* thing (the OS) would more likely be the
problem than *two* things (both browsers) would be - Occam's Razor
strikes again.

If you can't find enough configurability within the browsers' settings,
use a proxy filter - I used to use "Proxomitron" but I have no idea if
it is still available, but there are sure to be others out there.
