Laptop drivers contain a customization, which
identifies how the LCD panel is connected to the
GPU. A general purpose NVidia driver update, does
not contain this information. The NVidia software
should warn you that a laptop driver update is not
possible. You are supposed to get laptop driver
updates from the laptop maker.
