The beta documentation states: "The Windows Messenger version 5.0 client
supports the following operating systems: Windows 2000 and Windows XP."

Will the "SIP Communications Service Account" section that appears on the
screen shots appear on W2K computers? Or just WinXP computers?

If you look closly at the Accounts Options screen shot you will see that

can have contacts in only one or i all three of the account types. You

not restricted to picking only one of the three.

There will never be version 5 of Windows Messenger for XP. Only Windows
Server 2003 or Corp base servers will have it. MS has not plan of making
WM5
to work with XP. They will keep updating 4.x
