Carl - I would like to know myself. Obviously!

I'm gonna keep banging on this one until I solve it. There are WAY too
many, very similar, problems presented for answers in these, and on MANY
other web, newsgroups that are not answered. The issue seems to be quite
prevalent.

This morning I've completely reamed both computers, the workgroup each
belongs to and run the Network Setup Wizard on each. No cure. I tried a
potential cure of adding the IP addresses and computer names, plus the pre
load switch, to a lmhost file. No Cure. If I do a Run "ndtstat / any
switch all the information is listed for the appropriate computer. No
cure.

This network allows me to add network printers and individually added
Network Places. It sees (finds) the network on the Entire Network (though
it takes 30 seconds to do so) and lists it by name - so there is no question
but it's found the network - but when I click on that, named, network the
system takes about 45 seconds to tell me it's unavailable.

Both computers on the network can see individual pieces if I add each
individually. Both computers can find the Entire Network (though very
slowly) but refuses to list the items in total.

This is nuts!!

I've read, this morning, that wired networks, and/or networks that are
client-server networks don't, generally, have these issues. This tells me
that Microsoft XP has glitches (bugs) in the wireless portion of it's code.

Windows firewalls are disabled on both boxes. At the suggestion of
another
newsgroup I added identically named user admin accounts to both systems.
(I
was told this is "required" - but it was not required back when the
above
items were working)

The solution to this is not critical since I do have print sharing and
do
have 'regular' folder sharing.

Up until a few days ago I could just click on my "HOME" network Icon and
the
entire shared network was visable. Not now!

Any help/suggestions is appreciated.
