Sounds like you have an OEM CD that only works with Windows 95.
Since you cannot install Windows 95 on a computer running

Windows
XP, you should go out and purchase the new version of Microsoft

Excel
or Microsoft Office XP.

| I have disks from my old computer with Excel. I have
| several spreadsheets already. We bought the new computer
| with Windows XP and it doesn't have excel. When I try to
| install Excel, it appears to me that I have to install
| Windows 95 to be able to install Excel. Do I want to do
| this? I am thinking not but how do I install Excel?
