Default XP Sound Schemes

"Sam" wrote in message

I am looking for the shcme I saved, not all the wav files, which are
already on the other computer. Is there a way to get the scheme that
i saved through the control panel sound utility?

how do I copy the scheme I have saved in the sound utility in
Control Panel. i want to put the same scheme on another PC.

Go to C:\windows\media. In that folder are all the .wav sounds that
are currently in use. zip them up or whatever and take them to the
other computer.

I don't think a "scheme" is a finite file you can simply pick up and
copy to another machine; it's just a definitions list kept somewhere in
one of the system files, most likely along with other system
information. It's likely not something you could simply copy to another
machine but I'm not certain of that.
If the other machine has all the needed .wav's, then just write them
down and duplicate it on the other one. There aren't that many of them,
really. Make your own "scheme" by creating a new folder under the
\media\ folder to hold the needed wav files.

I'm afraid that's all I have.
