MS could have done all that, and it would have been completely ignored.
Most of the people who are having issues are the kind of folks that don't
read the installation instructions, website precaution statements, etc.
They do not know how to, or are too lazy to keep their system running
properly. If they put as much energy into troubleshooting as they do in
blaming and flaming MS, they would have fixed their problems.

compared to techies? A million to one? MS should have provided step by
