thanks Rodger ! I had printed this however The boot cycle from the HD will not allow me to go past selecting the boot types ( safe mode.. network.. ) no matter which one I select the next message is "unmountable boot volume". The tech note sate to boot t
o the recovery console but I believe I ahve to have the xp cd in.. which I had disgarded.
