Has Windows ever fixed the timer. For example, I am copying or moving

3 minutes left. This happens in all Windows functions, when Defragging,

Because it is actually very difficult to give an accurate estimate of
time. You can do an estimate of bytes left, a percent of the job left,
but not of the time.

Apple manages to have a not too far out estimate of time remaining when doing
an install. If it says ’30 minutes left’ then there might be 20 minutes,
there might be 40 minutes, not more, not less. If it says ‘5 minutes
left’ there might be 4, there might be 6. If it says ‘less than 2
minutes’, there’s less than 2 minutes. Microsoft varies all over the
place, from a few minutes to over an hour back to a few minutes. Apple is
consistent. If they can do it, what’s Microsoft’s problem?
