Gmail keeps returning T-bird messages. Tried two Gmail locations

(one
mine, the other my sister) so not Gmail setting. Once put it in

Gmail
Spam folder instead of returning it. Can't find an email support
address for Mozilla. One clue from Mozilla says T-bird version

should
be 38 or newer to work with Gmail. My T-bird says it is 2 and when I
check for updates says none available. I just DLed and started using
this one less than a year ago. Up till a week or two ago it worked
fine with Gmail.

I guess I'll have to replace T-bird with another enmail ap. Not

Gmail
or Eudora.

Any suggestions to make it work or what to replace it with?

TIA

You may have downloaded Version 2 less than a year ago but it seems
the final release (2.0.0.24) was in early 2010:

Perhaps it is the most recent version that works with XP?

Are you saying that your Sent messages are not being delivered by
Gmail or just that a copy appears in your Inbox? If the latter it is

a
simple TB setting which you must have changed by mistake.

They are not being delivered TO Gmail. Gmail returns them.

Sorry, that makes no sense. If a sent email is not delivered from your
TB client TO Gmail how can Gmail return it?

"Are you saying that your Sent messages are not being delivered by

I meant the message was being delivered from T-bird to Gmail.

If the Gmail server receives your sent email and is unable to deliver

it
to the recipient it will return the email with an error message. Are

you
seeing error messages from Gmail?

Gmail says it's spam.
