Since you've already done your research quite thoroughly, if you're still
not satisfied, if I were you, I'd create my own GUI/frontend for ExifTool
using HTML Application (i.e. those *.hta files; using HTML, JavaScript, and
optionally CSS). Because the best tool is the one you make for your own use,
IMO.

I choose ExifTool because it's by far the only uh... EXIF tool which has the
most coverage of EXIF features, and is the most customizable. So IMO, no
point of using other tool which has lesser and fixed features.
