Mail and messaging settings are the main thing when it comes to
"settings." I have data that I will transfer to another computer on my
network and then bring them back after the installation of W7.

If you're using Windows Mail in Vista, please don't forget that W7 does not
include it anymore. There is still a way to use Windows Mail in W7, but it
may be a little tricky:

For Windows Mail backup and restore, Windows Vista Manager will do.
If you're using Thunderbird, or Outlook, etc. you'll need a different
approach.
