Hi, Keith.
If by 32bit you mean Windows XP, Windows 8 will not run a program
written for Windows XP.
That's not right, Keith. Almost all WinXP programs, whether 32-bit or
64-bit, will run fine in Vista, Win7 and 64-bit Win8. The few
exceptions, as others have pointed out, are those with 16-bit components
(such as loaders).
Some DRIVERS for hardware will need to be rewritten to work in a
different OS. Your Bluetooth device probably falls into this category.
Have you checked with ASUS? Recently? They may have written Win8
drivers for that device by now.

I checked with ASUS several times and gave up as I was getting the same
line.
I did get the Bluetooth device to work using the native bluetooth
software that comes with Windows 8. I probably should get back with
ASUS, but their people are more knowledgeable than I ;-)
As for compatibility with W XP programs I could get none of mine to work
on Windows 8, it was probably the installer problem.
