Windows is not Linux and Linux is not Windows. If
you are expecting one to be a clone of the other, you
will be sorely disappointing. OSx for that
matter too.
If you want Windows, then use Windows and suffer with
the eight points made in the original post. If you
go with Linux, then it will come with problems all
of its own. I can not make Linux a clone of Windows
with all of Windows problems solved.
