Default No "Download Windows 10" icon?

Yes it sure is as long as you have windows 7 8.1 or higher.
I did it on my other system with windows 8.1 and the nag box does not
install.
if you research on the news groups someone posted a bunch of updates by
number you don't want to install that stops the upgrade nag program from
installing in the first place.
I am one of the smarter ones who knew this and never had that lovely nag
icon in the task bar

And will the free install be possible without that famous "icon"?
