To answer your question about the hosts file website, the MSVP who
operates it is responsible for it.
Really? And exactly who *IS* that MVP?
https://mvp.microsoft.com/
Whatever Microsoft choose to call them, they are all volunteers and
"amateurs" in the sense that Microsoft does not pay them or take
responsibility for their activities. The way Microsoft promote the
scheme, especially via their award winners, is misleading.
Many do it because it benefits their business activities but many others
are true amateurs who undertake all their MVP activities as a hobby. I
have always found the true amateurs to be the ones who offer the most
useful and interesting activities.
Indeed. I expect you are aware that

I'm not sure why he changed his 'nym' to '...w¡ñ§±¤ñ'
If you look at the hosts website properly you will see that "true
amateur" applies to the operator who notes alongside his photo that he
is retired. If you are desperate to know his name I suggest you contact
him and ask him.
Ummm!!! *HOW*, MikeS ;-) I don't have any idea WHO/WHAT is running the
website!
This site has some interesting information:-

Remember, THIS SITE IS *NOT* ASSOCIATED WITH MICROSOFT!
A puzzle indeed!
