I have a slot for a little memory card (I can't remember what they are
called) in my laptop. a Dell Latittude E4300, running win7, and the
computer doesn't seem to know it's there.

Is there some way I disabled it?

I have one in the Acer Aspire running XP, and that always knew it was
there.

SD is the norm for laptops etc.Â* Micro SD is what go into phones.
You can get an adapter to allow you to put the tiny micro SD card into a
larger SD adapter and then into your Laptop.

Look in device manager and see if there are any ! next to the device (or
any device like unknown).Â* You might be missing drivers.

Have you verified the memory card is good?Â*Â* Have you tried another card
or put the same in another machine?

and from the pics here, it's even written on the card "micro".

And I'm not interested in the article but the first picture shows the
two side by side very well.
